Application Process for Training -
“These teachings are not for everyone. Be wary of who you teach. Only teach those people that possess an open spirit and a good heart.”
- Hatsumi Masaaki Soke
“You are a warrior now. . . more is expected of you.”
- Nagase Hiroshi Shihan
Our dojo is different than most Dallas schools in that the instructors at the dojo do not make their living off of teaching the martial arts. All the instructors and members of the dojo have full-time careers, and, unlike the usual money-for-instruction exchange, dues go toward supporting and maintaining the existence of the dojo. The Jigoku Dojo does not use any student agreements or contracts. Students are responsible for their own training and dues, but may come and go as they please.
The dojo maintains an atmosphere that is friendly, relaxed, and family-like, with no tolerance for competition or sport-like aggression. The instructors of the dojo have trained together for a long time, and are interested in the care and well-being of all dojo members. The instructors and dojo members are always training - pushing themselves to increase their abilities, help others, and striving to be better practitioners.
The Jigoku Dojo accepts students year round. We are located in the far North Dallas area at the International Martial Arts Academy - 10391 Custer Road, Suite 102, Plano, TX 75025, Ph: 972.359.9552. If you are interested in trying a class or for more information, please e-mail or call us at 469.878.5853. We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and offer occasional seminars and workshops addressing a wide variety of martial arts and self defense subjects that our members and guests can attend.
We look forward to hearing from you!
